Meet Bishop Murphy
Day by day and by the Grace of God, William H. Murphy, Jr. walks the path of his God-given mandate of “Reclaiming the Church, the House of Prayer”. Bishop Murphy has been serving the New Mount Moriah International Church family, located in Pontiac, Michigan for 30 years. As Pastor of Greater Ebenezer Ministries, he has been responsible for and/or organizing various prayer vigils; citywide prayer meetings; weekly intercessory prayer sessions; local, regional, and national prayer workshops and conferences; all the while intensely striving toward the mark of his God-given assignment.
The magnitude of this call is evidenced by the impression that has been made on an interracial, multicultural, international audience of many who have never met him through his interactive prayer recordings, “The Daily Bread”, “Could You Not Pray With Me One Hour?”, “War Cry”, and his latest release, “Harp & Bowl Intercession”; which have been purchased as far away as Japan, Germany, Africa, England, and the Bahamas.
Some have been introduced to him through his books “How to Flow in a Powerful Prayer Meeting”, “Walking in a Victorious Prayer Life”, Five Traits of An Effective Intercessor”, “100 Declarations That Will Change Your Destiny”, “When You Pray, Say our Father”, “The Harp & Bowl Ministry, and “The Law of Intercession”. He serves as a member of the Executive Council and Bishop of Intercessory Prayer of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the auspices of Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III., which has led to his travels throughout the United States and abroad to develop and train corporate prayer teams.
He is blessed to have his family in ministry with him; his wife, Elder Donna Murphy, Daughters; Brittany and Jasmine; his sons, Pastor DeJaughn Murphy and Bishop William H. Murphy, III, Senior Pastor, The dReam Center, Atlanta, GA.
